Brother Canada introduces Label Printers that Support Airprint™ Wireless Printing for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
— Brother Canada, a leader in products for small offices, announced today that the only label printers in their class to offer wireless printing capability, now support Apple® AirPrint1 wireless printing technology. The QL-710W and QL-720NW, wireless-enabled label printers are designed for printing pre-sized labels for file folders, mailing/shipping labels, name badges and banners.
Speedy, wireless label printing is an attractive feature for busy small business owners, executives and professionals who need the flexibility to print on demand from their mobile devices. Without any software or additional device drivers to download, AirPrint wireless printing allows iPad®, iPod touch® or iPhone®1 users to conveniently print labels and such, while providing an exciting opportunity for app developers to add helpful direct label printing support to their iOS applications. Potential uses include: printing appointment cards from scheduling applications, name badges from visitor management applications or address labels from shipping or contact management applications.
In addition to compatibility with Apple’s AirPrint technology, these Brother QL printers offer ultra-fast print speeds up to 93 labels per minute2, pre-designed label templates and much more. They produce high-quality text and sharp images, and ship with a two-year limited warranty, not to mention free phone support for the life of the product.

My HP Laserjet adventure
I own a 5-year-old HP laserjet 1020 monochrome printer
that uses 12A black toner cartridges
yesterday, I was printing on Avery shipping labels
what I do is peel one label off the sheet and stick it in precise
position on another used sheet in the same spot where another label used to be
these are 4x2 labels: I do this using homemade label templates
I made using MS Word with its custom margins and insert shapes features
I do this because I don't print a sheet of labels wholesale,
